I am interested in joining with clinicians and researchers to fund a clinical trial using the crowd-funding source Medstartr. Specifically, I would like to start a clinical trial to ascertain the effectiveness of FMT for treatment of post-infectious IBS and IBS-D. Currently FMT is only approved by the FDA in the United States and Canada for treatment of C-difficile infections. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, which in my opinion is the perfect place to start a clinical trial. Chris Kresser is local to me and there are clinics nearby who are using FMT to treat C-difficile.
At this point, I am putting feelers out to see how interest I can generate.
